The Rundown: With Cyclops in jail, the rest of the team goes looking for the Upstarts.

Jen is having some personal issues and Quentin decides to pay her a visit because her thoughts are loud. As the two have a heart to heart, Magik arrives to tell them that they have found the location of the Upstarts and with Scott in jail, they are free to finish the fight they started.

Sugarman reveals to Fitzroy that the X-Men are coming for them and that it is all part of his plan. When the X-Men arrive, they begin to battle the upstarts and prepare to secure Jen for the next part of Sugarman’s plan. With the battle going south, Jen shows Fitzroy a new mutation while Sugarman takes a trip for the next part of his plan.

The Story: MacKay delivers a fun, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. I like bringing the story back to the Upstarts and I continue to enjoy Sugarman as a villain. The stakes in the story are more personal for Jen and I like exploring her as a character. I like the self-contained nature of the issue and look forward to seeing the ramifications of this mission.

The Art: Diaz delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. The imagery is wonderfully detailed and enhances the thrills of the story.
